Game Setup
Peg Solitaire Daily shows a game board of 12 white pegs on a five-by-five playing board. Peg slots that are filled are white. Peg slots that are empty are gray and can be filled. Two spots on the board cannot be filled.
How to Play
The goal of the game is to eliminate all but one peg. To eliminate a peg, drag a peg (white) over an adjacent peg (white) into an empty (gray) slot. You can jump vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
Winning
Game play ends when either there are no possible moves or only one peg remains on the board. If only one peg remains, you've solved today's Peg Solitaire Daily puzzle! A new puzzle is published each day. Every puzzle published has at least one thousand solutions.
About the Creator
PegDaily is the creation of a (then) unemployed sixty-one year old software developer living in Austin, Texas. I created a program to solve peg puzzles a while ago, and I dusted it off after being laid off (on my birthday LOLZ) in 2023.
My peg board solving program can solve any size board with any peg configuration. After beta testing with my friends and family, we landed on the standard five-by-five board configuration with 12 pegs and 2 null spots. It provides millions of possible configurations, each a unique challenge.
The peg solving algorithm allows selection of challenging boards but solvable within a reasonable period. Every published board has at least one thousand solutions.
